Emily Ratajkowski brought high glamour and a touch of flapper fashion to the Met Gala red carpet tonight, wearing a sheer nude Tory Burch dress with a feathered clutch and Fred Leighton jewelry for the night’s “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” theme. Ratajkowski had her hair styled up in a ponytail and curled with statement short blunt bangs. Makeup-wise, Ratajkowski opted for a nude lip and dramatic lined cat-eye. The model looked downright dreamy posing with Burch in front of photographers.
Ratajkowski has been open about her journey being newly single and dating again. She told the Los Angeles Times in early April that being told by a date that she is “stoic in the face of adversity,” truly surprised her because it didn’t align with her view of herself.
“I think of myself as extremely tender,” she said. “I’m like, ‘Have I been hardened?’ I think I’m just a little less scared now, basically, of the world. So maybe that comes off as unemotional.”
She admitted then that was she wasn’t dating as much as she was working now. The dates she had gone on really helped her with self-discovery though: “It’s almost like they hold up a mirror, and that helps me feel like the confident person I really need to be to be able to do the work I do,” she reflected.
“I’m really just not thinking about guys,” she added. “I’m working, I’m a single mom. I’ve been so busy that it’s easy not to think about.”
